?It's a state beyond all that you know, beyond all knowledge, beyond the limits of time and space. It's an occurrence. There's no way in. And there's no way out.?

So much is being spoken about meditation. Research has shown us that meditation is of immense benefit to the human body and mind. What is it really?
"India is the land of meditation. Only in our culture did people do so much research into meditation. We never bothered about anything else. For us it is the starting point of reality unlike the west where it is the last point. I can tell you a few words but really it is not something to be explained or to be analyzed. It is a very sensitive thing, very delicate. The smallest interference of the mind and it is gone. Quantum mechanics found that the observer changes the experiment. In simple words, when you try to measure your own temperature with a thermometer, the thermometer itself will absorb some heat from the body making your reading inaccurate. No experiment, even in the physical world, can be measured without interference from the instrument observing it. In meditation this principle is at its maximum. You are the subject, you are the object and you are the experiment! There is only room for error? Lots of error!"
You haven't explained what it is.
"If I slap you hard you will be in meditation for a few seconds. If your girlfriend kisses you, you will be in a kind of meditation for a few seconds. But these are all relative types of meditation. There are levels to meditation. Catharsis is a form of meditation but it isn't really meditation. Many techniques, many systems that prepare you towards meditation are mistaken for meditation but they are just techniques to move you closer. Never mistake a technique which prepares you for the state itself. Physical Yoga or Artistic Yoga or any yoga is just a preparation. Meditation techniques are just techniques. You cannot practice meditation?"
