?Sex is as vital for the body as food and drink and should be sought as innocently.?

The Kama Sutra cannot really be written. Kama Sutra is a tuning of the body and mind like the musician tunes his instrument and the singer, his vocal cords. Kama need not be just sexual desire. It can be the desire to pierce the veil of fear that makes us avoid looking at life and death with clear eyes.

The orgasm of sex is peak pleasure and the joy of oneness. If you look at the peak of a mountain before climbing it, you will be able to see many paths leading up to it. Whichever path you take, it does not matter. Once you have paused and taken a good look at the mountain, the way you walk changes, the paths you take are different. It is because you have awakened the witness in you. The witness walks with you throughout the journey. A sutra is the song that awakens the witness in you throughout your journey. It is not just a bunch of words in Sanskrit, but a mystic tune that takes you to an ever deepening climax, as you approach the end. The climax, like death, means the end of ?you?, or I.

When we lose awareness of death, our lives become petty and silly. We think the body is with us forever. We indulge in its pleasures without using it artfully. And so sex becomes mechanical just like the rest of life. The Kama Sutra is not a book but an experience of someone who is trekking the valleys and peaks of life with her eyes open, with all her senses alive, with her mind on a razor?s edge, with her body agile. Sex is then an electric experience, more powerful than you have ever experienced.
